I began my career as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 after I graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. For several years, I worked closely with Gordon Hudson and Greg Kasper, who I joined as a business partner in 1996.
My major areas of responsibility include the provision of general business advisory services, taxation advice and financial reporting requirements for a large number of entities. I have primary responsibility for Hudson Kasper’s audit services.
A keen golfer, I am on the Akarana Golf Club Finance Committee and am Treasurer of the Auckland Golf Association. I am married to Margaret and we share our home with her daughters.

Barry joined Hudson Kasper in 2008 and became a partner at the beginning of 2009.
His accounting and financial experience is wide ranging having worked for more than twenty years in both public practice and in industry.
Barry is principally involved in the provision of business advisory and assurance services and in providing commercial and business advice generally. He has primary responsibility for Hudson Kasper’s valuation services.
Barry is also a director of Villages of New Zealand (Pakuranga) Limited, which is one of the largest lifestyle retirement villages in New Zealand.
Out of the office, Barry enjoys trying to keep pace with his young family and jogging and golf.

Greg Kasper has more than 30 years experience as a Chartered Accountant including two years in England.
In 1974, he became a partner in an accountancy practice that subsequently merged with a national firm. Greg and a work colleague, Gordon Hudson commenced in a private practice together in South Auckland in 1988.
Today, most of his work at Hudson Kasper is in the business services area with a focus on medium and larger-sized company clients including several directorships.
Greg is a director of the Auckland Rugby Football Union and Chairman of the Auckland Grammar School Headmaster's Council. Greg is married to Geraldine and they have two sons and a daughter.

Mark Savill has approximately 25 years experience in chartered accountancy, much of it at a senior level, beginning his career in 1985 with Touché Ross.
Mark is a member of the NZICA CA College and he has a great deal of experience in providing taxation, management, and general accounting advice to a cross section of small to medium sized entities which make use of various ownership structures.
His outside interests include woodturning and cabinet making and he is an active member of the South Auckland Woodturners Guild Inc. Mark is married to Samantha and they have a daughter named Mae.

Richard Thomas graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and he has more than 30 years experience as a Chartered Accountant in public practice.
In 1988 he became a partner in a four partner South Auckland accountancy practice. In 2001 Richard decided it was time to take a new direction and formed a new practice, Richard Thomas & Associates Limited, and moved into offices located in Papakura. In 2008 Richard’s practice then merged with Hudson Kasper.
Richard’s broad base of experience is reflected in the wide variety of clients that he has provided a quality service to over the years and encompasses finance, taxation and general accounting matters.
Richard is actively involved in his family farm situated in Ramarama. His interests include motor cars and he is a keen duck hunter. Richard enjoys spending quality time with his two daughters.

Liz Wilson has joined the firm 31st August 2010 as a senior accountant.
She has a Bachelor in Business Studies degree, majoring in accountancy and is currently studying towards the Diploma in Professional Accountancy.
Her outside interests are sports, being an active gym member and enjoying playing team sports. She is married to Pesa and has three children.

Natalee Barge joined Hudson Kasper in October 2000. She is involved in preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns and also provides auditing services.
She graduated from Auckland University with a Bachelor of Commerce and is a member of the NZICA CA College. She began her career with Deloitte Haskin & Sells.
Natalee has two children, Elise who is working towards starting a Bachelor of Education and Billy who is an apprentice Fitter Welder. Her husband Andrew has his own Fencing & Retaining Wall business. Her main hobby is fishing which she pursues at every opportunity and she also loves horse riding and walking her dogs.

Suzanne Thwaite has worked as a Chartered Accountant for 15 years, following 12 years in a variety of financial roles in industry in NZ and overseas, latterly as Financial Controller at Lion Breweries Ltd.
Suzanne is a member of NZICA CA College and provides taxation, general accounting and audit services to individual and small entities.
Her interests outside work include books, travel, music, film and theatre and occasional attempts to subdue the garden.
Suzanne is married to David. Their son Richard has just started University.

Sheryll Ravening joined Hudson Kasper in February 2008 as an Accountant. She has had over 30 years of accountancy experience.
During her career Sheryll has had many varied roles, preparing annual financial statements, tax returns and management accounts for local and multinational clients.
Sheryll’s interests are her lifestyle block, her pet dogs and cooking . She is married to Brian who owns an auto electrical business. They have two children; Mark who has just completed his Masters in Architecture and Ashlee who is a Settlements Officer.

Erica Rooza joined Hudson Kasper in September 2008. She emigrated from South Africa in July 2002.
She has over 23 years of accountancy experience which include 9 years in New Zealand. She is involved in preparation of annual financial statements, tax returns and management accounts for local and multinational entities.
Erica is married to Bernard a die hard ALL Black supporter and has one daughter completing her Bachelor of Communications and twin boys.
Outside work she is kept busy with managing her twin boys soccer team, coaching netball and caddying for her husband.

Tracy Benadie emigrated to NZ from South Africa with her family in early 2006 and she joined Hudson Kasper in August 2007.
Tracy has years of experience in office management and she currently takes care of all the administration work as well as managing building maintenance.
She is married to Tommie and they have three boys aged between 11 and 20 who are all keen rugby players.

Diane joined Hudson Kasper in February 2009 as an Administration/Bookkeeping Clerk. Her varied role includes preparation of computerized wages, cashbooks and GST returns.
After spending over 20 years with a previous accounting firm and experiencing a life threatening illness, she is enjoying this less stressful role.
Diane is married to Grant & they have 2 children, Hayley & Kurt. Diane loves being a nana, with 2 grand-daughters in N Z and 1 in the UK. She enjoys walking and crafts.
